Do-It-Yourself Retail Models vs Professional Models:

The Genie garage door openers sold by Lester's Garage Doors are professional models that can last three times longer than discount retail models. Retail models may appear to cost less at first glance, but in reality they end up costing way more, when you add in the installation cost, added hassle, delays, and warranty hassles that go along with D-I-Y products. See below for the added services, that are included with Lester's Garage Doors Professional Models and Installation. We warranty our own products and labor!

We have installed and serviced tens of thousands of openers. Some of the openers we installed more than 30 years ago are still in service and working well today! You can be assured that we will be around to provide service well after the warranty period is over, which is not necessarily the case with all service companies. One of the things that makes us stand out above the others is our quick response time if you do have a problem.

Since the garage door is the largest moving object in your house, it is important that the opener have safety sensors to detect an obstacle in the path of the door. All openers produced after 1993 come standard with this feature. If you have an older model, produced before 1993, without safety sensors, it is important to consider replacing your garage door opener with a professional model for your family's safety.
